  1. Thanks for the garden tour it was awesome and such an exciting adventure coming ahead excited to watch Move to South Carolina be blessed Jess and sweet Miah

  2. Is there any chance you could send me some of the Queen of Malinalco tomatillo seeds at the end of the season? I can't find them anywhere, and my husband loves tomatillo and I want to grow then for him! Thanks!!

  3. I pulled my sweet peas earlier this week because it is already 90 degrees in North Texas. I try to put the seeds in in late January so they can be finished with our short springs.

Your garden looks great! Looking forward to watching it grow!

  4. I've never heard of variegated sunflowers. That sounds fun. I have some korean dark green peppers that are coming out variegated from Baker Creek but they're not supposed to be.

  5. Your peak season comes about 1.5-2 months before ours in Western Oregon. I keep thinking "Dang! I'm so behind," but then I check my forecast and am reminded that it's still 38 F at night, haha. Really enjoying getting this little preview of what to look forward to in late June on our corner of the country 🙂

  6. I've been cloning shrubs from cutting for the past 3 years now with minimal knowledge of how to do it and I've had fantastic success with minimal effort. Don't bother using honey as some people will suggest, I've tried it many times and have never had any luck with it at all. Instead of honey, use 'Take Root' which is a rooting hormone in the form of a white powder. It can be found at Lowe's, Amazon and other similar places usually for around $5 or so. One little plastic jar of it will last you a long time. Take your cuttings, dip the end that you're going to plamt in a little water then dip that end into the rooting hormone powder. Tap off the excess powder back into the jar or another small container so it doesn't go to waste and reuse that if you can. Then pot up your cuttings powder end down. Taking yoir cuttings in either fall or spring when you would normally do your annual/seasonal pruning of shrubs and trees. If you take cuttings in the fall they'll stand a better chance of surviving over the winter if you keep potted up cuttings in a green house or enclosed sunporch type area. Most of those kind of plants need cold temps for their dormant periods but keeping away from frost exposure will help them to survive, be healthier and come out of dormancy faster come spring. I've had great success doing this with roses, butterfly bushes, mock orange shrubs, and all sorts of things.

  7. I'm so glad that I am not the only one who double plants! I have cucumbers, sun flowers and pumpkins in one raised bed. Ugh! I have such a hard time plucking viable plants. I just can't do it; therefore, may the strongest plants survive and coexist.

  8. I love that your loved ones are showing you they are there with you, just not physically. Your story about them made my heart smile. I wish ya'll the best with your new adventure, can't wait to see the beauty you create next.
