  1. I just love you guys. I'm an ole mamaw with 9 grandbabies . I truly pray you know your riches. Not in dollars, in the love of Christ, in your family, in trust, in living what I think is the absolute closest to God life, raising your young , raising your food gaining independence from mainstream world. And I do believe you really do know that.
    God bless you.

  2. Kind of chive-ish maybe. I'm so impressed.
I'm in Va and again LATE. When we lived in the farm house we always managed to get our garden turned over way too late.. This is the normal tractor till of the garden in Spring and Fall, always way too late in both seasons but we were totally dependant on the owner of the tractor. We are at a new place, no longer tilling/turning over our garden hoping to start as early as you. We'll, we have planted potatoes. I look at you and think WHAT HAVE I DONE? Made myself LATE once again. You are such an inspiration. Thank you Jess, one mamaw still classrooming, I hope I always am. The day I stop learning, Lord take me home, please.
I'm so very happy for Roots and Refuge and Whispering Willows. Yall, I can't help that my soul seems to leap a little while realizing the bounty of blessings for BOTH farms.
    You are
In my prayers ladies…. you hubbies too…. Mr sweet Miah lovin that little house on the prairie love of yours. Yup, I caught it. And man alive, dose everyone know just how sweet it is to see the love … all the love, in a family loving God. We all should emulate the same.
    Hugs you youngins, mamaw

  3. Thank you for the info on growing garlic. I grew garlic her in southern PA this year. Second time trying. The last time I grew them i planted them the wrong time of year and too deep. This year I planted them last fall and they are growing :).

  4. You mentioned someone who artificially insemination their GOS pigs on a different video. I would love to know where they purchase the semen from. I have a gilt I need to breed in 2 months.
    I'm located in middle GA.

  5. Hey Jess, are your pets (the dogs and cats I mean) microchipped? With the big move, I can't tell you how many times I've seen lost pet posts where they either somehow escape while they are on a stop on a trip, or when they get to the new location they aren't familiar with. I'd definitely suggest putting ID tags on their collars as well as microchipping them. Also, be sure to register the chips.

  6. I love that Bear is always by your side in the garden. One of my dogs is the same with me (I call her my garden pup). We got her the same year we built our first garden, so I think that is why she is so intrigued. Can't wait to see him truck around the new property!
