Brambleberry has a good soap calculator that is free
Aprons are the best! My momma and I wear them all the time, so handy because I’m always wiping my hands on the apron. I’ve been following you for a bit now and love everything you are doing, great to see young folks getting back to the basics. Thanks for sharing!
Instead of folding the top of the little striped apron down, fold the bottom up and sew the sides. Then , you have a harvesting apron, too! Really enjoy your videos!
Being only 10 minutes from Portland you should shop there and you'll save on sales tax.
Pyrex is the only glass baking dishes I will use.
I need to find and apron. But it’s hard to find them 5x size and for someone who uses a walker and sits while doing things
I like the green apron very much!
I thought you weren't supposed to water plants or your grass, in the heat of the day, because it can cause sunburn?? Drip irrigation is ok, but ideally, gardens and yards should only be watered early morning or late evening during the hot season.
My hubby watches failblogs all the time as well…love it! 😀
Use that soap for laundry. I usually use FN or zone soap. Washing soda. Borax and sometimes dollar tree version of oxy.
I never heard of the lint from a dryer. I’m going to do it thank you
What’s with the eggs in between the tomatoes…
Ohhh so interested in the loofa's
Hey girl! I used to make 60+ lbs of fudge during christmas time. I had the same problem you did with the soap and cutting it. Then I bought a pizza blade cutter! Complete game changer. They got one on Amazon for about $13. Another suggestion I had was for seed storage-really useful box cd storage. Staples has them for about $10. Wow! $5k on eating out? Now that YOU are saving all that money by cooking from home there's you should be able to get your greenhouse!!!! Just tell Josh the Snail Slayer to keep his paintballs away from that. LOL
What, sucked in with YouTube? No not possible, she said while binge watching your videos…
Not everything goes perfect every day. You learned a good lesson. Haha
Love your videos! Was that eggs you put in with the tomatoes?
You are my new favorite vlogger! We started our homestead around the same time as you have on this property. There are so many parallels that I enjoy seeing how you manage all the same tasks. You are so fun, upbeat, and informative! Keep up the good work!
I’m liking the aprons. Where did you get them?
The soap you quadrupled is not a waste! Laundry soap and you can also put it back in the crockpot and make hot process soap and re add oils to it! All is not lost
Am binge watching all your postings. Learn something new every day. Love your chickens. You never tire!
One apron is MUCH CHEAPER than a dozen stained tees and sweaters.
Becky put them in a plastic Ziploc bag that way if there around water they want get we Note to Peggy also
I use this method to store my seeds and it is amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pH66-7Jks5o
just an idea and I'm in the process of watching all your vids as I just found you earlier today but if you sew (I am assuming you can sew basic stuff, at least) you could add pockets to that first half apron using left over scraps of material and it could turn out super cute and SUPER useful! Who doesn't love pockets?! Edited to add: if you find the pockets on the green denim'ish one too high, you could lower them, too! Love them all
When your soap turns out like that you can use it as laundry soap or rebatching it in the crock pot by shredding it and adding some water then cooking it until it’s no longer our heavy. Also, never use tin foil with soap. Aluminum and lye can have a really bad reaction.
