  1. Love your videos… very inspiring! You cover all the details to help us newbies get started! I’m excited to try my hand at growing beans now! Thank you!

  2. I got a lot out of this video! I never thought about buying white 5 gallon buckets to plant in, but it certainly makes sense. And the white color makes sense, too! Keep up the good work, James. I live all the way across the country from New Jersey (Central Washington State), but I really get a lot out of your videos, and love seeing Tuck!

  3. Ok third time watching this video and I have dragons tongue beans growing and holy cats the plants are HUGE!!! I planted in red buckets and WOW!!! There are three plants in each bucket. And the flowers are adorable little purple beauties!

  4. How have you been dealing with all this rain we have been getting? I'm trying to fight off early blight and one of sweet potato plants has turned to slimy mush!

  5. You’re so encouraging! You explain everything about gardening in such a clear, informative manner. I can’t believe that I’ve actually successful this year! Truly, you are in your element and you found your calling. Thanks for everything. I think gardening should be offered in schools.

  6. I need watering tips for my beans – I seem to either overwater (=yellowing leaves) or underwater (beans curl or are thin at one end, fat at the other) – can't get it right! I need help! XD

  7. I’d like to ask your advice re growing pole beans, if that’s what you Americans call our New Zealand “climbing bans”???
I have very little growing space and I’m in a rental garden even though my landlady is great, there i# a lawn an$ flower garden I nee$ to respect. That’s ok, 8 like flowers although I much prefer a permaculture Forest personally.
So climbing beans!! I’ve been planning to grow my tomatoes in buckets this year. I grew them in the garden last year. Great crop. I grew the tomatoes next to them, not such a great crop as too much shade, hence transferrin* into buckets and surround the patio with them. Consequently i will b3 able to grow leaf crops where the tomatoes were. I grow peas up my fence.
So if I grow my beans in buckets then they can grow up to the straight clothes line I find difficult to use. Is it possible to grow beans with some shade after midday-to mid afternoon Jamie. I’ve only grown them in full sun before.
    Regards to you and Tuck
    Margot

  8. I planted some dragon tongue beans, after the local farmers market said they don’t plant them anymore because they attract bugs. Any thoughts or have you noticed anything like that?

  9. Your videos have given me the knowledge and the confidence to plant our garden in a very small space. I love how Tuck eats his veggies like a good boy! They have such a high nutritional value for us and our puppy loves! Keep making videos James! You’re making a difference.
