I love Japanese maple, I prune mine with a central trunk it’s at 15 feet at the moment with a natural leafy top beautiful when the colours change, also the hydreangea if you pick the flower heads when they die off it will flower the next year in principle I lost 1 of mine as I didn’t dead head it, it’s looking lovely xx

Put a tarp down and then load then as you pull the tarp off it unloads
Now you can add perennials by height and really make it look amazing. I would suggest some sort of creeping phlox or creeping thyme, it will stay very low to the ground, come back every year and spread like crazy. plus the colors would look beautiful.

If you lay the weed barrier first and put the preen woodchips down they work better trees planted by squirrel will still come up unfortunately but doing those two things together work pretty good
