Thanksgiving means a big family dinner, and a special occasion such as that requires a beautiful fresh bouquet of flowers as a centerpiece for all to admire. I often wonder about the pleasant conversations that our flower arrangements bring about, it is fun that when we make a video featuring one of these bouquets they can be admired long after they are thrown into the compost pile. This week is our Thanksgiving market, and they have traditionally been one of our best markets of the season. Not only is there a flush of fall flowers, and our last harvest of summer veggies before our first frost, but there is the most important element of all for a successful farmers market, an abundance of shoppers with large grocery lists. People are in the mood to spend, they need salad greens, as well as herbs and root veggies, and lots of people are looking to bring flowers as a gift. That means, if you bring the goods, no matter the weather, you are guaranteed a good performing market. This week we had our roadside stand in full effect, and even when the market ended, the sales continued, with our roadside stand selling fresh flower bouquets as fast as we could make them. It was a great market and a record for roadside sales, which added up to our best weekend of food and flower sales of our 3 years farming.

The carrots look amazing!!!
Sage!! Always so hard to find this time of year.
Have you thought about making your farm beautiful (content farm) and then charging admission for people to come and see your farm? There is a very popular tourist attraction in Carlsbad, California, which is near San Diego, called the Carlsbad Flower Field. Every year they plant the entire field with ranunculus. It’s very pretty and all the tourists flock there in the spring to admire the flowers and take selfies. It’s also near Legoland, which also helps draw in tourists. I can only imagine how much money they make. If I lived near a farm like yours, I’d love to visit and admire all your flowers and vegetables!
Consider swapping the table cloths for the market to a similar color to the door on your roadside stand. It will help sales!
You're bouquets are beautiful and unique-something for everyone, and your veggies are so colorful and robust.
Holy Moley! The roadside stand is goals!!! So stoked for you!
Bien hecho!
Your bouquets are BEAUTIFUL!!! I am VERY jealous of your cooler with all those beautiful flowers!!! :). Great ending song, too! I live in TN!!! 🙂
So love your videos. How about making seasoned salt with your herbs and edible flowers. I use Himalayan salt and things like dried parsley and sage and chillies. Also use dried petals of edible flowers. Adds taste and color. You will be surprised at how many edible flowers you are growing
You are so talented. Those bouquets are gorgeous. Have you worked at a florist before?
Where do you buy your double sunflower seed from?
HALLELUIA!!!!!!!!
serena, you have gotten so good and artistic with your bouquets; Great job!
Из холодной Сибири горячий привет!
Loooovvee the flowers ! You did a wonderful work!
I was trying to get caught up on your videos when I saw the health update. Have you considered mold issues in your home or work areas? One gal and her family discovered a problematic mold, not black mold, but still one that causes lung issues. She had problems first, then the kids started, the hubby never did(not sharing names here…) Anyway, they are fine now after a long process of moving out for a time, clearing the mold, and concentrating on immune boosting and natural ways to clear the mold allergens from their bodies. I do pray you are well. But, I’m still behind on your videos. Take care and be well!
So talented

I love all the colors of flowers.
The sedum + dust Miller combo is genius!!
The dusty Miller has neon yellow flowers that are really fuzzy , and they are frost hardy (at least they are in Virginia , lol)
The purple kale is so pretty too
Are you going to make wreaths with all those dried flowers?
