  1. The cost of going CORPORATION IS Little to the cost of being sued in a court of law for physical mental time off of work or time off of living for the rest of their LIFES they do that I went for CORPORATION on the way of things then they can't come for your home or car or living !!!

  2. I'm on the board of directors for our farmers market in my city and I can tell you this is no small feat. We've been around for 43 years and have 200 vendors, we run from the beginning of June until the end of September. It is a huge venture and not undertaken easily, it is however doable. My suggestion is talk to people who run a long term, successful market to avoid some of the pitfalls.

  3. You always put out such great info. Would you consider teaching how someone could become a vendor at a market and sell their homemade goods. As in the basics, and even legalities involved with food products? I make and bottle hot sauce that people really like and are buying directly from me. I’m also getting into homemade soaps, the pretty, moisturizing and scented kind. I would love to learn how to locally sell my products.

  4. You do not "file" to be a sole proprietorship. You are automatically a sole proprietor by conducting business. A sole proprietor is a person doing business with no liability protection in place. Operating any business without liability protection is pure folly.

  5. My husband and I worked at a farmers market selling empanadas I made from scratch. It was like a family, you're right. Lots of vendors wanted to trade, so we always went back home with organic veggies, eggs, honey, chocolate…I miss that, but not the setting up part. One day it was very windy and our tent flew. Fortunately, it didn't injure anyone but me, but it does happen so insurance is very important.

  6. Such useful information that I haven’t seen any other videos cover. My city already has one of the largest markets in Wisconsin but I’m filing this video away for later if I ever move.

  7. As an artist who sells at events, THANK YOU for mentioning the MLM! I know a lot of people run them, but it's so frustrating to compete with non-handmade or non-artist-created vendors. I remember I did a craft show once, and I was excited to see the artistry in the area. Only me and one other person were actual artists. Every table was an MLM, from jewelry to vitamin drinks. I was so disheartened and no one made any money at that show.

  8. So Luke fyi my yt did not notify me of this one nor the one previous. Looks like it happened to a lot of your viewers with these. Last one I got notified of was the garlic. Keep the videos coming though! You can beat the algorithm!

  9. I hope you choose to continue the series. This is a specialized topic so it seems understandable that viewership would be less. Maybe start a second channel for this info?!

  10. I was so looking forward to all of the parts of this series, as it appears to be well thought out and broken down into easily understood sections. Lately I've been trying to learn about raising quail, and haven't been visiting my usual gardening channels. I just don't have time to view every video from every channel I'm subscribed, within a day or two of them being released. Sorry to see this series left unfinished.

  11. No kidding! I have driven by that market all summer and haven't had a chance to stop by! I did not realize that Summer Thyme market was started by you! I will have to make a point of stopping by next summer. Looking forward to the new building, it's only a few minutes drive from me! Best of luck Luke!
