As far as I know they still have community canning in Wytheville, Va.
Pure. Natural. Wholesome and Delicious
I sent a link to your videos to my 88 year old mother and she watched 4-1/2 hours of your videos.
She's hooked❗
My daughter sent me.
OMG, I am in Mountains of NC not far from Boone NC. I have been saying some of the same things. Don't allow someone to tell you what to do for your household. You made the decision to do what you were put here to do. Provide a roof over your families head, food on the table and in these days, in the pantry. Keep doing what you are doing and allow those folks to sit back and call you crazy. BE CRAZY FED AND BLESSED THAT YOUR HEARD THE CRY AND YOU ANSWERED IT BY SAYING I WILL BE OBIEDENT. Let them figure it out for themselves if they don't want to do di
Oh wow, the Lord did bless you having so many generations around you in your formative years! I lost both my granddads by age 12 and both grandmothers by age 24. I was blessed to live with my mom and maternal grandma growing up though.
I’m proud of you for what you do for not only your family but for us, sharing your life and experiences.
You are right. Move on. You are helping many people. I love what you do and what you share. I would love to do what you do but I am in the city doing the best I can. Love your videos and stories about your family and Nana and great and great great grand ma.
When is it too far? Watch a 'Hoarding TV Show' that's too far! When you let food spoil but keep putting it on the shelves… Houston, we have a problem! Having a year's worth of 'stored goods' is not a problem, it's a necessity. God bless you, I had 4 generations alive at once: My Dad, his Dad and HIS Mom. Dad came back and raised Pigs but his people were all Farmers.
26 year old lady here, just stocked up on pantry goods with my roommate! Bless you! I had a strong mama who survived (I have as well) an insane family, I unfortunately do not have a strong family to rely on, but I have God, my friends as family and I will stay strong! We all will be okay!
You seriously make me feel so much better!!!
Thank you! 🙂 God Bless.
Thank you…what an uplifting video…just when I needed it. You're precious ❤️
Wonderful inspiration! Thank you!
LOVE all the great words you speak… TRUTH!!! I am SO PROUD of where my roots came from and learned so much from them. SO many fond memories and now we are living our dream that reminds us so much of just how my family lived. Keep speaking truth!!! God Bless
I only ever had a great-grandmother. But the women in my family all wait until their 30s to have kids.
What a lovely woman – I never say this anyone for yeaarrsss nowadays….She is opinionated – but I can feel she cares….Things matters to this woman…….my goodness ,are the rest of the other people robots ?…….deaddddd ????
A lot of comments on Facebook and here are from bots. Don’t get fooled. It’s probably not a real person talking to you and telling you to stop.
Thank you!
I have always loved the vold fashioned" way of life.
This is like my dream come true..
I spent the afternoon yesterday for the first time with "homesteaders" like me and never have I felt so happy in my life.. In an "earthly physical sense" (I am Christian so knowing Jesus being saved is high above all else!)
But I feel at home.. Like I am doing what I should be doing and I have found "my people"
Thank you and God bless you all!
This is my first time "homesteading" so tips are welcome!!
Middle TN, our leaves are turning quickly now due to a couple of cold snaps. Trying to get out and do a bit of cleanup each day.
No matter what we are all in this together. Whether they listen now or not.
Thankful for my mama and grandmas! They taught me gardening, canning, baking, cooking, and frugality! Miss them all dearly!
In my culture we share food ALL THE TIME. In fact, we INSISTED they take some extra to take home. I didn't see much of that when I moved to the U.S., especially in big cities. My culture is slowly dying but I try to instill what I still remember to my daughter. I love that you are sharing what was taught to you even just by being curious as a child growing up and it was absolutely NORMAL to live life that way back then. You are absolutely right about we are not so far removed from that time. I just subscribed to your channel and very glad it came through my feed. THANK YOU!
You go girl. I love you
Been 3 days sister. You okay?
Grit! 100%!
