Can you please do a video or two on your favorite gadgets & a quick run down on what/how/often you use them. VERY interested in your freeze dryer, but have seen an overwhelming amount of complaints about them & their CS. Wondering if this is more an operator error or if the machine is actually THAT finicky! Thank you!! I have gotten so many new ideas, tips, & gardening insprotaion from you!! Also, a sneak peak of your chickens and their housing/feed would be great, too!

I think the shaking method did not work for you because you had too much garlic in the jar at the time. Too many softens the blows and doesn’t loosen the outside shell.
Can you make garlic powder with a dehydrator? I don’t. Have the space for a freeze dryer.

Growing up my dad always grew a ton of garlic and we never knew what to do with it. This is a fantastic idea and I would use it so much when cooking!

You can get special lids that will release the gas. Pickle pipe air lock tops are one kind. They fit right on your mason jars. I’ve been using the ones with water in them for cider vinegar, also great.

Hi Becky, an easy way to peel garlic is to put it in a bowl and cover with boiling water let sit 10 minutes maybe more and the paper comes off pretty easy, you might get some tough skins but it works pretty well good luck with the rest harvest, may the lord bless you and your family.
I have tried many different ways of preserving my garlic harvest, but have never tried the honey fermenting. I have a batch right now that is ready for some method, and I am going to do the honey ferment. Just have to remember to keep enough back to put in other ferments.
