Hey ya’ll, I’m Jess from Roots & Refuge Farm
Welcome to a place that feels like home. A small farm with a big family. We hope you’ll pull up a chair, grab some coffee and visit awhile.
There was a time that all I wanted in the world was a little farm where I could raise my family and grow our food. Now, that is exactly what exists outside my door. In watching it unfold, a new dream was formed in my heart – to share this beautiful life with others and teach them the lessons we’ve learned along the way. Welcome to our journey, friend. I am so glad you’re here.

Osprey, we have them at our place too
You guys “ Lay Day”, banter is HILARIOUS. I LAUGHED SO HARD!!
Thanks
Are your 32 cell pots from bootstrap farmer? Have you tried their 6 cells? I’m wondering if bootstrap 6 cells are weaker than the epic 6 cell from Kevin ?
You guys crack me up, uh the offense, and oh yeah we have to feed the kids, hehehe you must be tired! So thankful for all you share with us. Blessings to your family.
bless you so kind
Osprey for sure. that is how they dive. interesting in that growing up, i only saw them on the coast. but there numbers have risen dramatically over the last 30 years
I love the music in this video ❤
Wilder still? Cannot tell what you are saying that they are filming and didn’t know you had another channel or whatever it is lol
I noticed your variously colored seedling pots and am wondering where you found them?
Lay days…mmmm
as a new subscriber…I went to the store today and bought me some fresh root and green veggies for not only one mighty tasty asian style salad..but also a new row of veggie tops growing in small glasses of water in the kitchen…somebody made a video and taught me a thing or 3…
.your knowledge is amazing 🙂
Loved this video!
Hello ji good morning kam ke liye
Definitely an osprey for your bird. They are fascinating to watch, since they dive in the water and come out flying! Eagles are also as fascinating to watch as they will fly and skim the top of the water for a fish. I got to watch alot of this at the farm I worked at.
Could that bird be an Osprey? They fish and I believe they nest in the spring and summer in South Carolina.
I don't mean to be dumb, but how do I view Wilder Still episodes? I live in a very rural remote area, have fair internet service but not that great for streaming. Do not have satellite or anything like that. Jess and Mia keep up the good work. You are both very inspiring and thank you for all the wonderful teaching that you so generously give.
It is amazing how much you have accomplished in such a short time
Love how Bear comes in to supervise the reloading of the trailer.
Looks like you have a wagging tail with Bear right behind you lol!
Yay! Baby tomatoes 🙂 Those mojito alocasia are so cool. A nice callback to the black hollyhocks and tie in nicely with the "black-tie" theme of the greenhouse. chef's kiss
I love to spread gardening love too!
Very strong women,great job..
Isn't the feeling you get from sharing the garden love amazing… It truly does make you warm and giddy. I've presently got around 500 seedlings started in our house. So excited to share away
