You can also sew with dental floss in a pinch. I had a dog that would pull through any cotton or polyester thread we put to stop him from slipping out of his harness when we had him tied out back. I sewed it with dental floss and that stitch job held for 7 years.

Yeah…I frequent DG and Family Dollar alot. Depending on the management, some of these stores are messy and chaotic looking, but the ones near me are very well-kept. Get the apps for both stores.
Im always shopping for specials. Found some good ones. Found some ok ones. Regardless if I can get it I have and will. I havent had to buy hand soap in years. Lol.
I didn't know they have a dollar section. We have Dollar General stores North, East, South, and West of our town. They are everywhere! We also have Family Dollar and Dollar Tree in our town. The price of Crisco has gone through the roof! Amazing!
Do you know what is weird? A lot of homesteading channels have stopped homesteading and growing and raising their own food. I find this odd because of the times we live in. Now would be the time to buckle down and start canning. Guildbrook Farm is such a channel. They are now building a giant home on a mountain and advertising Green Chef meal kits. Their personalities have also changed. It is so strange because the lady now says that she is mostly vegan and she used to do great videos on canning meat. I unsubscribed. Too bad. I don't want to badmouth people but they used to be so inspiring.

I had to run in the D.G for coffee creamer before they closed one evening a few days ago. They had orange stickers 50%off and then take an additional 50% off!! Whoo hoo! I bought 3- 3packs of toothpaste for 1.60/pack, 4 pack of Colgate toothbrushes for a quarter! Large bottles of Head and Shoulders( normally $8) for $2 and much more! I had a lovely little prep haul. 🙂
