  1. I grow food for people. Some don't think they don't need to pay me. Or I see the harvest in the green bin. It's frustrating. I really needed this video. I shared it to Facebook.

  2. There are days we look at our spouse like its the first time realizing their facts stink, have bad breath, have become wrinkled or they disagree when you thought you both were on the same page. That's the time you smile and DECIDE to love anyway, besides they can see all of your getting old and not so perfect ways as well. Love em anyway, they love you anyway too. Have the good laugh over the new sound a fart makes because your backside is no longer perky. Oh the things that change with time.
LOVE IS HARD, PERIOD. That also includes what a mom like you & like me are committed to. I chose to stay home eventhough my in-laws wanted me working and helping their "poor poor" son. Where it concerned me those in-laws added those words in front of his name…..always. Poor poor – ahum. My husband agree my best place was home raising 3 sons. My man works hard always has and oft it required him to be away. So when I say "I get you" I really do. The woman that chooses to take the "full time" position of children & home over earning an insignificant wage is far more satisfied than her working mother counterparts. Now add the other commitments to living a certain way. "HOMESTEADING" no matter the size of your
'stead', it is a huge COMMITMENT to what is still looked down on….. however that is changing fast, thank you Lord. I won't list a thing. No matter how complete I could list all she does it will fall short of the fullness of truth. We know the value of ourselves and others sharing in the same venture. All this to say time is valuable. Once spent it can never be replayed, changed, wished upon or exchanged for another time. It's done. Just as you understand the value of time we'll spent, no returns, exchanges or refunds…. ALL SALES ARE FINAL on that time also.. I would love to know the remark that woman said to you. Probably very typical of the woman making wrong decisions and is surely unsatisfied and feels her own wasting. Often the way a person treats others is a very simple reflection of the way they see themselves.
No matter. When we put so much into fulfilling the desire of another only for them to behave as if we are insignificant. A-HUM.!.! So not right. Your time is precious and you included her only to have her stand you up. I think there was nothing more nerve plucking than that. You are so right to tell other to know how you will handle such. If you don't know, it will happen again. No body has the right to spend your time. Can't wait for you to let her know "oh so sorry, I've no time left in a day to have eggs for you" it's only partly personal, lol, it's just business.!.!.!

  3. Patara: If I was able, I would like to come spend a few days living at your house, helping and learning about the homesteader life. I'm serious. If you want to make some more money, that could be a way to rake some in. Some people would pay whatever you asked to be able to come live and learn for three or four days. Just something I've been thinking about.

  4. See the excuse for standing up, if not a good one excuse

  5. You are so amazing, your family I’m sure realizes that you are the driving force for your lifestyle ,but don’t let the haters upset you ,I envy you ,and so appreciate that you share all of your story to us

  6. I understand exactly what you are saying… as a nurse, I have been treated very poorly by some "I pay your salary– so you'll do as I say, when I say….." EXCUSE ME???!!!! I try to give someone the benefit of the doubt — once — Did the person have car trouble?? did something happen that they couldn't make it?? did they just simply forget?? …. but very rarely do they get a second chance to stand me up….. I don't think I could do full on homesteading, but I'd love to learn to be more self sufficient and more prepared … just in case…

  7. I’m saying this with whole heart that your home school boy either goes Mechanical Engineering or Electric Engineer in College or Army-Navy-Marine life and a tech field with the service will give him a great carrier in future!

  8. Gabriel will grow up to be a loving & helpful hubby to some lucky gal one day. Love seeing his handsome face in the videos. Tell him this grandma of 7 said he's too cute.

  9. You…my dear, are the "Base" and "Back Bone" of America!!!!!!!!! You are the reason that we can go to the Store and YOU supply our daily NEEDS! I APPRECIATE YOU…THANK YOU FOR "EVERYTHING" YOU DO!!!!!!
