Yes you need a hummingbird feeder! I have got simple ones at Walmart that are easy to clean ) it’s so cool to have hummingbirds around

The Last hummingbird feeder you shown i had for 3 yrs it isn't hard to clean at all. You should get it! I love mine I have 2 if them.

Costco has pots like those every year but in blue for around $50 per pot! They sell out fast so you might want to go look right away.
I know exactly where you are; I buy my flowers & stuff from there too. I just went there a couple of weeks ago & it seems like they’ve increased their prices since it changed ownership. But they have lots of plants, etc.
can you not grow citrus like the kumquats in your area?
Becky, I am in Battle Ground. Is that SHORTY’s! Please let me know where you are at….thx. Try Bi-mart or Winco for hummingbird feeders (wide mouth are much easier to clean with a designated brush). Also, I believe there are a couple true terracotta pot makers in Portland. I have seen them on “Garden Time” in the past. Sorry I can’t remember the name of the pot makers.
Wow! At those prices I’d be afraid to buy the terra cotta! I live in north Idaho where you can’t leave them out during the winter and I have no place to store them! I prefer antique sinks and metal pots!
Oh when I heard you say you liked to lay out in your yard I thought oh goodness she needs a hammock. I'm on my third one because they don't last forever but it's my favorite place to "hangout" almost anytime of the year. Even when it's cool if it's nice out i'll tote a blanket outside for a nap or bit of reading. The fresh air warm or cool is good for the soul! Mine is on a stand so I don't have to worry about having the perfect trees to hang it from and I can drag it around where I fancy!
Awesome flowers..i always plant flowers within my veggies..to attract good bugs and deter bad..companion planting is so useful.

I love scented Geraniums! If you can find them, you can get chocolate, lemon, mint, and citronella scents. Beautiful flowers too.
So do you not have deer? We can’t grow petunias because they are like deer candy. They’ll jump the fence into our backyard and come right up on the patio to eat flowers. Grrr
On another note, my mom and grandmother were amazing gardeners and they would buy ladybugs by the quart to put in our garden.
Another note, Big Lots has a great gardening/pots section.
If you feel the marigolds to your chickens the yolks will be super golden.

All colours are awesome and the more colours the better in my opinion.
The good thing about living in the tropics is we start seeds in feb-april. Our winter is optimal growing time so when we start our seeds it is the end of summer so I don't need heat lamps or heat pads. I just put them inside at a window out of the extreme heat. So the only upfront costs I have is the seedling trays, seeds and the medium you choose to grow them in.
That terracotta pot was way overpriced. I am in Australia, and 88 usd converts to 118 aud. Never ever would I pay that.
