  1. Were running into same issues here in west side of FL … many "dumps" and for us that do what we can to help rescue, prices are high to neuter/spay, and rabies (county required) – low cost is only for TNR kitties … if they are turned in, all spaces are fully (SPCA, Human Society, rescue groups) so that staff, (even "no kill") having to deem the babies "medical issues" or "personality issues" and euthanasia …

  2. I shared the video below. YT doesn't want me to. Everyone needs to watch this. I would have shared in an email Patara, but didn't have it.

  3. I collect used prescription bottles for a local humane society. The prescription label is always removed. I have no clue how these bottles are used, but the humane society just loves the donation.

  4. I would love to take on more animals but feeding them is a problem. Bless you and your family for stepping up. I’d be curious to know how you feed all your kitties and doggies. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I’ve lost two kitties in the past few years.

  5. Everything is getting worse and during the great depression there wasn't the violent crime that is going today. So just because a person can't afford the luxury as you did prior to this mess is no excuse to commit a crime.

  6. My husband really does look like Santa Claus! White bushy beard and I love it! Our 6 month old granddaughter loves to get her hands in it! He keeps it neat and it really does look nice. We’ll be married 45 years next month and I love him more as the years go by! We catch rain water in big barrels. And we have a well. We’re on city water, but it’s nice to have other means of water.

  7. Thanks again; About stocks. As you know inflation is bad, very bad. A huge part of my retirement (401K) is in stocks. If I move that to cash assets, then the value at this rate is decreasing 7-10%/year. What choice to we have? My Berkshire, VISA, Google, and Apple are all doing well even during these times. “People will continue to buy and use iPhone’s in bad times; maybe you are one of them?” Many of us are “stuck” in this situation.

  8. There's a reason people used to say "stricken with poverty", because it's often not a choice or anything you did to cause it. Like disease or illness, you can be stricken with poverty. No one is immune.

  9. Hum, some of my posts are disappearing. I don't think my comments are rude, disrespectful or bad in any way and think I am respectfully adding to the discussion, especially with my water containment and filtering suggestions. I have a water tank… I think 2000 gal that feeds the house; it will last a week or so using showers and laundry; and months or more if only used for drinking and cooking. We have a water catchment system that can be used for showers/laundry/toilets if needed. I will try one more time to re-post my initial water response. Thanks.
