I really like the balanced beige!
Becki, you are absolutely glowing ❤
Try Greycloud
When we first painted our lounge and hallway in a grey it looked purple in the afternoon light. We spoke to a lady at the paint store and she said that we had to pick a grey which didn’t have any red tint in it as the one we had used did have red as one of the tints. We picked a different grey that didn’t have red in it and we have never had any more problems.
Fabulous video, as always. Thank you so much. Julie
I like anew grey, but instead of white trim, I would go darker than the wall color. Mainly to be different, but also because of scuffing as things get moved around. And you know things get rearranged a lot in a new house until you settle on the perfect arrangement lol
Choosing a wall color is so hard! Especially when it’s going through your whole house. We just went through that and we settled on Repose Gray. It’s so beautiful!
I like the chitoki too but as you say you guys know what will work for you
Becky, I think you should consider going with a lighter paint shade and in the rooms where there is a lot of light/windows do an accent wall in a darker shade. It would tone down the brightness but would leave hallways and other less lit areas a little brighter. Josh is doing an amazing job with trim ..you two make a great team. And the dogs adorable! They looked so guilty when you caught them in the car with the cheese, it was cute.
I don't envy you having to work on the house over this coming week with the weather we're expecting! Take it easy.
Love seeing you nest! As for the paint colours and lighting… go spend a few dollars and get the right kind of lightbulbs… there are more than just 40 and 100 watt. Now there is golden, daylight, bright light and so many others… I have even found them in dollar stores… so cheap and world of difference.
Hugs from Esquimalt and double check the raspberry leaf tea with your doctor… Please. It can bring the onset of labour in mammals. HUGS
I love the shiitake ☝️
I still like the one you like the best. It's really strange how much different these colors are and how many different hues of each there are. Sage is another hard one to get right. I love your sun room!!! You both are doing a great job figuring out sooo many decisions. Can't imagine doing all you do and pregnant too!!! It's good you know when to quit and go rest! So many projects! I'm so glad you thought about getting a landscapers opinion and plans wrote up. So many things that take lots of effort and money…and sooo many details…it's just a good idea to have a detailed plan in steps before starting. Your a good team and have the skills! So excited to see the rooms come into completion and so much fun and good advice to be following along.
Don’t let time get away from you and you nor josh haven’t choose the baby room start working on that if help needed maybe 7 or 8 month . Ask your mom.
Becky, one thing to remember is that as you age you will not want to walk a long way every day to garden and tend your fruits and animals so keep close what you will be tending to every day!
I have to say, I am a cool gray person. We have wood floors and have gray walls in most of our rooms.
A suggestion for your basement. There seems to be way too much light that comes in for those canned goods. I would consider putting blackout curtains on those doors/windows so that while you’re not down there the sun isn’t ruining your foods. That way when you’re working down there you can open them up and have light but your food is safe the rest of the time protected from the light. Hope this made sense.
Picking paint is so hard. We had Sherwin Williams match Ashen by PPG and love it. It is a warm gray and not too brown. Another option is having SW customize the one you like by adding a few drops of orange and white to warm up the gray that is too blue, or adding red to neutralize a green shading. Can't wait to see what you pick.
Your home has such a beautiful view, looks like heaven on earth! Congratulations on your new blessing, both of them! Sending our blessings of love & happiness to you and yours! C
Agreeable Grey by Sherwin Williams is a great color and paint. It covers wonderful and is quite neutral. 🙂
Temperate Taupe is also a lovely color
Definitely save the money & put in new outlets/switches yourself. It's SUPER easy to do.
Contact raintree nursery for fruit tree stuff they are in Washington they have got everything
Becky true story. One time we had put a pound of bacon out to fry. On our counter left the kitchen came back our walker dog and blue tick had eaten the whole pound of bacon. Everyone asked each other if we put it back in the fridge lol.
