🍎 Recipe HERE:
~ 10lb apples (Your choice)
~ Ball Fruit-Fresh (optional)
~ 1-2 cups sugar (I use 2)
~ 1/2 cup Cinnamon Red Hots
~ 2 sticks cinnamon
~ 2 tsp cloves-whole
~ 1 tsp ginger
~ 2 cups water
~ 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
~ 2/3 cup light corn syrup (or Maple Syrup?)

Peel & core apples
Cut apples into eighths
Mix other ingredients in a large pot & boil
Add apple wedges to syrup mixture & lightly simmer
Pack hot apples & syrup into hot pint jars
Leave 1/2 inch headspace
Remove air bubbles
Clean rims with vinegar before placing lids & rings
Process 15 minutes in a boiling-water canner

NOTE! Remaining peels & cores can then be used to make homemade Apple Cider Vinegar!
NO WASTE! Enjoy! 🍎

  1. Ms Patara? Did you can those and not do a full water bath? I'm confused! You're showing the apples in the pot but above the water. I thought they had to do a full water bath. Can you please explain?

  2. Hey, Patara! This looks delicious and fun. Question: do you cover the jars with water when you water bath for 15 minutes? I have done limited canning and the things (jellies) I have canned before have me covering the jars in the lightly boiling water.

  3. My wife had to go to the store so she could do this. She said her mom used to do something like this with cucumber rings and they were delicious. Brings back memories for her. Thank you ❤️
