VIDEO: The BEST Fall Cutflowers | Sept Farm Tour

Here on our cut flower farm we have a 25 week long season that spans spring, summer, and fall. The only way that is possible is if we plan for each of those seasons separately, with different flower varieties for different times of year. Join Serina on the September farm tour to get all the details of our favorite fall varieties, and how we push our cut flowers past our first frost date.

  1. Rudbeckia triloba is so weedy!!! I love native plants but I regret planting that species. It wouldn't be as bad if they didn't get so tall and bushy. The Goldfinches do love them but I would have been happier with the shorter Rudbeckia species.

  2. I love zinnias! I have some of the lime queen mix around my garden long with some other verities and they are amazing. My cosmos (apricot lemonade and xanthos) look awesome but are flopping all over the place and I may not grow them next year. Your garden looking amazing. Thank you for the inspiration and taking us along for the journey!

  3. I grew Apricotta and Lemonade Cosmos…Apricotta have had amazing colour variations. Esp with the changing light and temps. Stunning mix of pinky orangey peach. Lemonade has varied from almost white to pale yellow, with a brighter yellow ring inside. Very pretty!

  4. Love the visual audio treat in the opening – you should submit for a contest! The content as always is so informative. Thank you!!!! Your videos bring me joy, and I look forward to them every week.

  5. Great video! Thanks for sharing your garden with us!

I’m just down the road from you and my cardoons and green globe artichokes came back this year… mulch them and I’m sure yours will too!!
