  1. Hey Becky, just a heads up…I made ketchup for the first time this year and I cooked mine in my electric roaster at 250 degrees for a couple of days. Less worry about it burning, less stirring and it turned out GREAT! Give it a try next year and you will save your self a bunch of time and angst! <3

  2. That’s the way I learn to do green beans they ferment for 21 days then you take them out of the salt fermenting and then you make another Bri to Cannon and they are awesome you can from up in butter bacon grease the green beans are fantastic

  3. Becky, you are sweet and so cute! 🙂 You have many followers– you must feel an obligation to present the safest instructions and information? I won't argue electric pressure canners with you because it would probably be futile (they are NOT tested safe) but…*please* don't post low acid recipes such as tomato products (ketchup) veering from the safe recipe and make your audience think the final product with unsafe additions is safe. You added so many additional tomato products to your ketchup recipe and threw it out of safe bounds but didn't show you adding any additional acidulation to attempt to make it safe. (Hopefully you added an extra 1/4 tsp citric acid or the vinegar equivalent per pint jar.) I and others have sent you links to the NCHFP links for the reasoning behind why ALL tomato products must have acidulation both water bath AND pressure canning. Please, please forgive me if you added extra acidulation off-camera and we just didn't see it. (How annoying, right?!) You always refer to us as
'friends', surely you don't want your friends following unsafe practices? You could point us viewers to many, many free links from the National Center for Home Food Preservation which our tax dollars have funded to keep us safe and healthy in our home preservation efforts.

  4. Becky, get yourself through straws and when you wanna get all the air out of your freezer bags, you can suck it out through the straw and seal the Ziploc almost right over the straw. It’s a great hack. Love watching you.

  5. My last comment should’ve said get a few straws. Google. I also want you to know that you are the only person I will watch for upwards of one hour straight.

  6. What a cool idea for the modern electric ovens. I love my 18 qt 'turkey roaster' oven and love using it for the frozen goodies I've saved from past rotisserie chickens, this is a Sabbath Year for my garden so I'm just focusing on things I've been able to harvest locally. Love seeing that you are saving all scraps and parts as I am too. This last year was my gardens' Sabbath and I am always so curious to see how other sweet gardeners are dealing with this 'schmitah' (sp?) year.

  7. I have seen several videos in which people recommend freezing tomatoes that you want to make into sauces and things for canning. They thaw them. The skins come of easily and they can strain off lots of the liquid from the tomatoes before they begin cooking them. This makes for less cooking time and a thicker product faster.

  8. Becky, I have 2turkeys in my freezer that I want to preserve and get out for my 2 organic Butcherbox for the holidays

Should I can the frozen turkey or freeze dry? Your thoughts?

  9. You are so sweet and such a amazing woman you make us feel part of your family i love your bye friends makes me feel warm knowing your are truely a dear friend thank you for all you do and teach us .thank you Becky
