  1. I am very much a stay at home person too, if I had to chose between a trip to the mall or doing a project( chores) or whatever at home, then at home I stay. Then, if I did go to the mall ( usually 1-2 twice a year) then it would be for spending time at home decor or furniture stores lol.

  2. I have really enjoyed all the info you give. Your new home is beautiful and you are making it so functional !! I noticed your silverware holder sliding around when you open and close the drawer. I solved my sliding problem by putting 2 small woodscrews in the bottom of the holder into the drawer bottom ( be sure not to go through the drawer bottom ) It also makes for permanent storage on the side for long knives. Just a suggestion ! Keep up the good work, but when baby comes be sure to fully enjoy because each stage passes so quickly !!!!!

  3. My first trip to Sauvies Island was in 1978 on my kindergarten school bus. I went every year till we left Portland in 2005. I actually lived there for a year and October was a beast for traffic considering there is only one bridge to the island. Hope you have fun taking your baby there next year. Tractor rides, corn maze, pony rides…

  4. I loved this video, so chilled. I get overwhelmed easily, and I have to remember that I'm still accomplishing a lot by doing mundane chores in the day. I lost my job a year ago and I'm still recovering from depression like some of your other viewers and your videos help me in so many ways. I appreciate this community so much. Thank you

  5. Becky is not cleaning her veggie correct. She took dusty tomatoes, didn't wash them, put them in a pot and cooked them. I am sure dog hair and dust was on those tomatoes.

  6. I envy you and your goals the two of you have set. I love the ‘idea’ of gardening (that is what my husband says). We moved to the country and my husband was playing with his tractor and corn row planter and picker. Let’s just say he ended up with a football field long size of sweet corn. After this episode he gave up the corn planter and picked. We did tomatoes one year had 28 plants. You can imagine how many tomatoes we had for a family of four. I enjoy your videos and learning the way things should be. You should try mashed potatoes in the Instapot as you will never eat a BOILED potato again.

  7. I watching your video as I’m traveling on the train from Venice to Rome. I made sure to get the international plan on my phone for my trip. I can’t miss any of your videos ❤

  8. Glad you had a relaxing day! You deserve it! I too love Jennifer from A Country Life! I have her first cookbook! Love your pre-made simple breakfast! Looked delicious! I love how you make sure Josh is taken care of before you leave! So sweet of him to help you with getting all the canned goods downstairs! You have a beautiful laundry room! To me, laundry and ironing are very therapeutic! Growing up, I loved ironing our pillow cases, linens, clothes for my whole family! One time when my daughter was a baby, living in Seattle, I put an ad in the paper to do people’s ironing for extra money, and did pretty good! So many people don’t like to iron or don’t have time! I remember my grandma having an in wall ironing board, it was so nice! I’d also love to have one of those again!

  9. I use a stainless steel schrungee on everything ( gentle pressure) in my kitchen. You will be amazed that you can clean not only your stove, but even your plates and purex. ( never use copper, it will scratch, but the cheep stainless steel scrubbers will not) my favorite cleaning tool in my kitchen!
