  1. I really cant understand why these are illegal in some states. Maybe its because if everyone does this, lots of rainwater can get out of circulation for quite some time, but that could be solved by limiting the size and quantity of containers.

  2. Unfortunately in too many places some geniuses have decided to make it illegal to collect more than a few gallons of rainwater on your property. Why who knows. It's on your property it should be yours. Regardless of droughts, or whatever.

  3. Measure the square footage of the collection area (for example a roof that is 30 feet wide x 50 feet long = 1500 ft2)
    Multiply the area by the amount of rain in inches
    Multiply that number by 0.623 (that is the quantity of water in gallons one inch deep in one square foot of space)

  4. 2 questions…. So the first flush filter fills up then overflows to the other pipe? How does this water not contaminate the clean water? Second question, if the water goes underground will it go up into the top part of the pipe on its own? With no pump? Sorry if im not wording ny questions right i hope it can be understood. Can someone explain?
