There was a family in Nebraska who lived on popcorn all winter in the 30 s
today I bought 30 lbs of flour. my store had butter for $3 this wk so I bought 10 lbs of that. Also bought a bushel of sweet potatoes and canned 12 pints of cranberry sauce.

You can't call it a recession when you bought eggs a year ago for 99 cents a dozen and now it's 419 that's not a recession and that's not 8% increase either

Preach it! My grocery bill has completely doubled in the last six months. I have quit buying a lot of things and used to, but it has still doubled. Yes,we are in severe recession and headed towards a depression for sure. Many have their head in the sand even though their bills have doubled in the last 9 months. This election a few days ago just proved that we will never have free and fair elections in this country again. This country had thousands that are just like us that got out to vote and we were not counted. Once again, votes are “still coming in and being counted and the conservatives that were leading in key states are now losing”. Since when n did e of this country say “enough!” When that is I do not know but I and my family have had enough. I thank God we had the sense to see this. Owing a few years ago and are in a pretty good position to keep ourselves alive. We are debt free, thank God. Now we wait and see what happens all the while continuing to prepare.
Common sense is anything but…prepare as best you can, and keep your head on a swivel.
The world has changed from what it used to be…it certainly won't be any easier.
Thank God we do NOT have small children.
My wife and I are older, and we have our feet in the old world and the new, and that new reality is here.

You are so correct it hurts! As regards your comment about where the new goal post number will be for interest rates, you said 4% or 4.5% as opposed to the much touted 2%. You may find it rather interesting that Brian Kim on his Clear Value channel, specifically stated that after the Fed pivots, the stopping point following several stepdowns of interest reductions will be 4% or 4.5%. You don't know how perceptive you are. Keep it up, we need you!
