In this video I discuss what the Ebb and Flow Hydroponic system is and how it works. I also discuss the bed variations and grow media that is typically used as well as a watering schedule for the plants. The basics of a recirculating system vs a waste to drain system is also discussed. I am currently testing out a new system with a lettuce grow. I hope you stay tuned for the harvest, thanks for watching!

  1. It's like you read my mind! This is the natural evolution of the hydroponics imo. For me I went with a 8" deep concrete mixing tub from home depot, big HDX tote/bin to set it on and act as reservoir then a smokey mountain bell siphon to tie it all together.

Was not expecting the hydroton to be that expensive but 8 bags is what it is!

  2. A good glass contractor should be able to separate, clean and reseal those glass windows and then purge them with some argon. It'd be a shame to just replace them as I imagine it'd cost a fortune. Also, I can't wait to see how the Ebb and Flow system works for you.

  3. I have all my lights, pumps, etc. setup with Google home app using smart plugs, they are dirty cheap and you have quite a lot of info about power usage, timers and much more, plus you can operate it from the app whenever or wherever you want.
