I have transplanted 1 month old corn seedlings and as long as they have not developed secondary roots, they will take +- 2 weeks but they still have me a harvest.
John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Actually from living in high altitudes I need to start all early. Plant beans, peas and corn in eves and then slide from the eves directly into soil when the weather allows. My corn is 12 to 18 inches by the time it's planted. I cover them at night, during colder evenings
It depends on which zone imo but I always start beans early. I like to be harvesting right around when I plan on transplanting my juvenile tomato.
