Glad y'all are good. I haven't seen any videos from you sharing information about your chickens. I would love to know your basic care of them. What you feed them, coop setup, what you use for preventative bug problems. All the chicken stuff. Thank you in advance.
Such good information, I really want a goat.
I think watering is a good idea, more then amything the damage is caused by freeze dehydration. By the way I loved how clever the goats are and they just follow the one path instead of ploughing throw the snow chaotically
In your last video, you mentioned how your 3 wall shelter isn't good enough for snow kidding and I'd like to say your goats will do just fine. I live in NY and we have a ton of snow and our pregnant goats are in a three wall shelter and the goat's coats get fluffy and the babies coats get fluffy and as long as the mama's dry them up at a reasonable amount of time everyone will be just fine. 🙂 We don't even have heat lamps just deep bedding and plenty of food to keep everyone munching and warm. Bless you and your nannies <3
your bienials will probably bolt now.. free seeds!!!
Glory to God for your blessings and Abundance..
I had rosemary survive under 2 feet of snow and -15 F my first winter back here in Michigan.
Medical and nature is my destiny.
Here on Earth.
I would help NASA if I could though here.
Vertigo.
I have to always focus on freakin’ balance.
This freakish weather the deep south was pounded with, was as awesome as it was scary. In east central Mississippi, we had 3/4 inch of ice destroy the northern half of my town, and 2-3 inches of snow on the ground last week, that hit two days apart. We might get snow once every 3 years being just above the Gulf, but it's generally a dusting and melts about as fast as it hits the ground.
I took some of the most beautiful pictures, that even I have a hard time believing were shot here. I had a friend in NY telling me their temp was 20 degrees above ours, while ours was 30 degrees below where it should have been.
Today, after a full week of actual winter weather (still hard to say it), we're back to 65. WOOOHOOO!! And today, I have just finished planting my seeds in containers and putting under a light. (This will be just my second attempt at a garden, and my first one in Spring where it belongs). 😀
Thanks again for all of the very cool tomatoes you've shown us. I'm as excited today about trying to grow some cool heirlooms as I was in June, when I had no business trying to grow them in 95 degrees. Lol
I hope everyone is safe and warm and happy gardening!
Over here in the UK it was always reckoned that the Brussel Sprouts would need to be "frosted" to get the best flavour from them.
But we never grow Brussels, Kale and other brassicas in a tunnel.
Since you are planning on moving this year you should save your barn for the new property.
I agree that the worse thing about winter is all the clothes you have to wear when you go out. MiGardener has dino kale growing in his garden here in Michigan and it was holding up surprisingly well. That stuff is really hardy! I'm glad your animals made it through the cold weather okay.

Id love to know which podcasts you recommend 🙂
The wilderking trilogy is our favorite audiobooks! I highly recommend it. Some of it related to bible stories. My 8 year old loves the books and my husband and myself really enjoy them too!

Our preacher said something about our 7 year old playing his tablet during church. I had to inform him that after church during lunch and even during the week, he makes references back to the sermon "Bro Eddie says (….)" and corrects us and informs us all the time about what he heard him preach about. I do not worry about him playing his tablet because he absorbs everything everyone says! It's amazing
She use to be fun to watch she just weird now. It's like she went coco.
