Like you, I usually do my shopping errands in one day. I live 20-30 minutes out of town so it saves a lot of time and gas.

I stopped buying cards for baby showers and started giving children’s books as my “card”. Amazon has deals on kids books all the time, I just stock up when they’re on sale 🙂
