I am a restaurant manager, it is always in the back of my head that when this gets bad people will not be able to afford to go to a restaurant, I am pre-paying my mortgage as fast as I can, hopefully have the whole year paid off by August, dumping every extra penny I can to the principal. And looking for an alternative job in case mine closes.
I picked up my niece yesterday and there is a gas station that closed two years ago. The sign said 1.59. Across the street is a station that is still open and was at 4.59. $3 up in two years.
I'm laughing about the garage door opener… My son and his Dad drove 2 hours to home (from the family Cabin) and THEN found my car keys in his pocket… I did get an extra night at the Cabin out of it and some unexpected and enjoyable visiting with relatives.
Omg!!! Thank you. I needed this. It’s never the ones that say all the great things that always stick in your head. It’s the ones that are the bay sayers that get under your skin or at least mine. I’m still puttin away doing me but those people are always in the back of my head. Along with the drive to do more.
Here in PA…we went from $4.77 to $4.99 and some places, $5.09 OVERNIGHT! And food prices are giving me heart palpitations! I am planting a garden…have some things growing already and plan to do more. I have 3 dehydrators going every day….I feel like I can't do enough! Thanks for all you do!
While doing routine maintenance on my truck yesterday I found the reason I smell gas. I need a new fuel pump and SOON. There's always something that needs to be done.
Love your calmness, your humor, and your level-headed way of reminding us of what we need to focus on right now. I am dehydrating things I have never dehydrated before. (Today I saw a lady in Australia said (and had pics) of how peaches and blueberries (a normal amount at the grocery store) were going for 20.00! Approximately 1 pound of peaches and just 1 container of blueberries. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Gas in west tn was 417 monday we r 439 now and some 4.49
When Lockdown happened my son came to our house to live after 8 weeks he said thanks but i am going back home it worked for us.

Michigan just his $4.99 for the cheap gas.
