  1. Random question – I would love to know what you do for the mosquitos when you garden. I don’t want to use Off every day, but my legs are tore up after an evening in the garden. The bugs are trying to kill me I swear!

  2. Absolutely. I am very interested in the journey to the new farm. Thanks for sharing, what you do. I need my Roots and Refuge farm fix. Lol.. Thanks.

  3. I enjoy visiting with you and your family. And I wouldn't mind seeing the process of getting ready to move to your new farm.I Bless you

  4. Sorry how do I go the description to order some.stickers please ? Silly question I know bit truly I have no idea I tried and I guess I don't get it I just see comments not links to stuff ! Sorry thanks for anyone's help in that don't laugh!

  5. Jess, I absolutely love your gray/white plaid chair in your living room. Did you buy it like that or is it one that’s been recovered or what? That is exactly d we hat I’m looking for for my home but can’t find anything like it.

I’m praying for you guys thru your adventure!! I’ve done it so many times that I never, ever want to have to do it again!

  6. It's after midnight where I am in Zone 7 B, and it suddenly occurred to me that I found the first tomato horn worm working his way through my beautiful garden earlier today. So, I grabbed my black light flashlight that Jess had talked about in a former video. I went out to the garden and found TEN small hornworms glowing in the dark. By morning those suckers would have decimated my plants. So, Jess, I just want to THANK you for all the fantastic instruction you have imparted to all of us via these videos. Watching your videos encouraged me to start a garden during the beginning of the pandemic. My fruitful garden helped give me comfort during this fearful time and became my "Happy Place". Your tutelage taught me that I could even grow a fall / winter garden! My husband was so inspired by you that he built an amazing hoop house and raised beds. For the first time in my life, I am canning our harvest and I am so proud of myself. I bless you until next time.

  7. I have a quick question…. what would cause wilting leaves towards the top of a tomato plant? It doesn’t need to be pruned, and it has gotten lots of rain… and isn’t being scolded by the sun either. Any ideas?

  8. That isn't powdery mildew. Certain varieties of squash, particularly the C. moschata varieties, have that silver fleck look naturally. It is part of the nature of the plant.

  9. can you speak about raising turkeys from new hatchlings ? I bought pullets and I had 15 chicks and they are dying one or two every other day what am I doing wrong?
