as someone who has lived in the back of a truck, by choice, for over thirty five years, i can't help but asked what is it that made you choose to do this trip?…needless to say i choose to stay in areas of warm weather, blue skies and plenty of fresh fruit, but…?
I have been following your adventures and enjoying your vids. Most Americans probably didn't get it when you said "It smells like a chip stand in here". We aren't used to vinegar chips here in the States. I first tasted them in 1972 on a road trip through B.C.. I couldn[t get enough, I also visited Quebec where I first tasted Poutine. Love it! Hey guys 🙂 So glad you managed to find a temporary fix for your breaks but I would definitely go straight to a mechanic and get it fixed not matter the cost, a lock up at the wrong time could be catastrophic!

Just go to a scrap yard for your parts , find another van and take the parts. Have a good trip!
Very much enjoying the trip, one question, did you check the engine's air filter?
Sometimes meeting people in ways you didn't expect creates more fond memories.
You want to consider putting some LocTite on those clip bolts, especially when you get the correct parts. It's a liquid that you apply to the threads of the bolt before you install, and once it hardens, it keeps bolts from vibrating loose again. There's several different types depending on the application. You want to make sure that it will be able to take some moderate heat given off by the brake when stopping (friction. . . .)

the tensile strength of the baling wire should be safe enough the wire is mjuch stronger than the flat piece of metal that broke.; the double wrapping of the wire should hold it with no problem.

I really enjoy your video's, they are a pleasure to watch. There are other couples and single people who for whatever reason the chemistry doesn't work on camera. They are just annoying with how they talk or explain stuff, where you two are not at all. Cheers.

I am watching each video with anticipation and excitement. I admire your resourcefulness and ability to make due with the supplies you have in a small motor home van. It is also wonderful to hear your interaction with the locals. I am a huge fan of your channel because I dream of traveling 3/4 of the time. I currently work in corporate America but I am slowly becoming an empty nester. What is a woman to do with all of her free no children to take care of time? Travel in an RV across Canada and the US. I appreciate you showing the good destinations, the bad horrible roads, and the no so fun budget killing mechanical and tire repairs. It makes us re-evaluate our trip planning. I am going to take a few mechanic classes before we leave just so I know the basics. Keep the videos coming 🙂 I cannot wait to see where you travel next. Safe travels!

Really makes the case for packing everything in airtight plastic bags if you are making this trip or any long gravel road trip. Wonder how much of that fine dust you inhaled. For years I have wanted to do this trip. After seeing the video, I think I have changed my mind. Although the scenery is unique, rugged and raw, I am thinking for my time and money I would rather due the Cabot Trail or Vermont/New Hampshire. What a pounding Vanessa had. Poor girl. Anyway, thanks for all your videos and sharing. I am getting a road education as you go!
It's very disappointing to NOT see even ANY interviews with locals in Labrador or Newfoundland (except the Vinland stop). I'm a Canadian who lived in the north and in Cape Breton so I find it curious that such fascinating opportunities were not taken advantage of.
