This is very close to chocolate gravy for us southerners. Lol
You could probably freeze that in either one of those flexible ice cube trays or in a plastic ice cube bag. Two weeks isn't a long time in the fridge. I'm sure it lasts longer than that though, especially if you keep it very clean and put it in a squeezable bottle with a spout.
Do you think we can make hot chocolate with it?
Love that chunky sweater, makes me want winter to get here and relieve us here in socal from the 90 degree heat. Funny this time of year can be super hot in socal just as other areas are preparing for winter.
Oh excellent! I'm making this for sure. Holiday time calls for chocolate.
Hi, first love your channel ❤. I am wondering if you know of an homesteading group in the area that is a good one? A newbie to being more self-sufficient and healthier. I am not far from your area. Will be doing this sauce.
I'm definitely trying this I love chocolate
Thank you for the recipie, video, and chat about adaptations. This is exactly the type of thing I like to make for holiday and company meals. It can be made well ahead, it isn't honestly hard, people are impressed, and its an extra you can afford to make compared to buying.
Why not Himalayan or Celtic salt?
Ty Becky
Anyone who likes this channel may like The Bourne Homestead, another homesteading family, but on the east coast.
Becky, thank you so much for this video and recipe!!!! I’m 39 weeks pregnant and last week bought a pineapple to carve up, and wanted to make a homemade chocolate sauce to dip it in. And boom you post this! Just made it this evening and it’s delicious, easy, and went great with the pineapple! Thank you so much for your videos they’re inspiring! I can’t wait to use it with other foods/drinks.
my mom made chocalate sauce wa globof peanut butter and lol she forgot what she putin it and made it wih i didnt tasteie she said itwas good dothey stillhave the one in the store that hardens never got that either
step 1: melt chocolate
I had to watch the video several times to find you stored your vanilla in a Captain's bottle. LOL
Done!
Top, next time will use more quality cacao ….. but love it.
Big heloo from UK.
I am so happy to have found your channel. I love the length of your videos and the detail of your content. I also love that you work outside of the home and are not a full-time homesteader with at least several acres like all the others I follow. It makes you a bit more relateable to my own lifestyle. Keep up the good work!
Can this recipe be made using monk fruit or Stevia vs regular sugar? Also would almond milk work instead of half and half? Does it store pretty easy in the fridge?
That's very similar to the chocolate syrup my "Bigmama" would make for us to put on hot buttered biscuits… yummy & IF there was any leftovers we used it to make chocolate milk
Just curious what kind of pot and pans you use and what you think about them?
Wow so quick easy and it looks delicious! I personally hate the taste of store bought chocolate sauces or fudges like nesquik so I'm definitely going to try this!
Been looking forward to this one since the first time you said you make it for Josh!!!
Hi Becky. Would that chocolate sauce work as a substitute for the stuff one buys to mix into milk? My kids love chocolate milk but that stuff has doubled in price plus homemade is much better.
This looks like a simple recipe I will be trying! Thanks for sharing. Is it strange that I come home from work hoping that you have a new video? And if you don’t I just rewatch one of the other ones? Lol
