Yes Sir those bales are cooking right along. Your doing an awesome job on showing folks how this whole straw bale gardening works! Hope you have a great weekend buddy!
Do your bales ever grow mushrooms during the conditioning process? Two of mine did, along the edges of the bales. We did have a lot of rain as I was conditioning, and so I didn't have to water the bales on some days.
Urea dissolves in water very fast. It would be interesting to try watering and fertilizing in one fell swoop by pouring liquid nitrogen on the bales. I'll have to try that next year when I give this a shot. I already found a source for the bales — a farmer just up the road. Something to look forward to over next winter!
Day 6 is in the books!! I know you said we dont really need to take the temperatures but its really fun to see!!! I havent noticed a smell yet but my allergies have been bad.
Am loving the step by step. Go get em, Oppe!
Great video – really liked your attention to the straw bale color change.
Great job on those Oppe! I’m so excited about our SBG that I’m already thinking about starting a new one. Lol
Take care,
Rob
I’m looking forward to see tomorrow!
Klaus
