Castor is also the source for the deadly poison Ricin. So be sure to keep that product away from children and pets.
Precious Tuck! And precious James! Bless you. Alice
You dont put lime on surface of young tree???
What are your thoughts on bare root fruit trees? Feels like i planted a stick, lol. That is until the next season when the stick comes to life.
In James Prigioni's food forest, there are no mistakes, just happy accidents 🙂
I have a peach and apricot tree with cracks on it with sap oozing out. I thought it was normal, ive done a few research…would this save my tree?

Would sunflower, asparagus, etc on the sun side be a good proactive method to prevent the scalding or would that create a mold layer? I live in an area that gets baked by sun – any ideas help. I have heavy clay soil so I could 'paint' that on but I would rather have a companion plant option.
I have some non citrus hedges that my late husband planted and let grow over 12 to 20 feet tall. I cut them down to about 6 feet. The 'trunks' thickened and are up to about 5 inches or more in diameter. All the foliage has died and shows no signs of returning. The bark is peeling off in large chunks and since I have mosaiced some walls in my garden, I'd like to put mosaic bands around the tree trunks. Is this advisable on a tree? I've seen it done on dead tree stumps over a sealer so I presume I can do the same in my case but want feedback so I don't waste my time. Thanks for any advice anyone has.
Thanks for this tip, living in Southern Arizona, I wrap my trucks with the white cloth tape and it works wonderful but this is great for the branches I can’t tape ✌️
James! Great video and very informative! I planted some multi grafted cherries/pluot 2 weeks ago during a Long Island heat wave (I know you’re in NJ, so don’t be a LI hater). Anyway, I’m going to apply a horticultural oil and miticide but not sure how they will interact with the IV Organics 3 in 1. Will one block the absorption of the other? I think I have to apply the oil, miticide, IV organically 3 in 1 annually, is that correct? Thanks!
Need a video search so I can find your video on grapes and the best way to start them
This is good info. I wrap the trunks to discourage mice and rabbits from gnawing the bark as well as prevent sunburn and sunscald. However, you can get the splits higher up the tree that need to be taken care of. Splits can develop beneath the tree wrapping the trunk, so it is good to take it off for an inspection once a year or so.

Hi James, Can Plant Guard be used on a 100 year Sugar Maple that has sunscald?
can we use simple wall paint?
Any advice for Apple tree leafs with yellow and brown on them. I plan to speak with an orchard but I’m really concerned. 3 trees were planted in the spring and have bark splitting (ordered the product here) and now I’m trying to get the leafs healthy.
What is the colour of dry bark of amla plant

6:05 You grouped moles in with your rodents. Moles are not rodents and they will not feed on your plants, they are insectivores.

christ i would need five gallons for two trees , this shit dont last you hav to reapply it screw organic
the old man always used can of tar , yep put it on with paint stick done
