Easy to grow in a mason jar, or in the seed sprouter, either way they are quick to grow and very nutritious. Be sure to check out my video on growing Alfalfa in a seed sprouter. Thank you for watching!
You can find the Sprouting lids I use on Amazon, these fit the wide mouth mason jars: https://amzn.to/2ELXJpI
In the previous video I used a Two-Tiered Sprouter also from Amazon, here is the link: http://amzn.to/2GUCq2Z
These are really good with sushi
I fogot: How many times should rinse the spouts each day?
I really enjoyed both of your sprouting alfalfa videos and found them extremely helpful. Which method do you prefer? Mason jar or two tier tray? I am so excited to get started! Ordered my seeds from True Leaf, thank you for the suggestion! Be well!
Best sprout video yet. Very easy to understand and follow with lots of hints. Thank You so much!
As always a wonderful presentation. Ah ha so that is how you stop the sprouts clogging the screen. Clever girl! Thank you Tikki.
Thank you! Great details! I appreciate when small details are added such as you prefer the hulls off, but it's okay if to eat them. Thank you! My supplies are on their way and I'll be starting my first sprouts very soon! ☺️☺️
Which system do you prefer, the jar method or the tierd sprouting trays?
I absolutely LOVE your videos. So educational and so thorough! Great results! I'm doing this alfalfa method now and hoping for great results too!
A lot of my sprouts have yellow leaves – are they bad? I would hate to throw them out.
Thanks alot Tikki. Your video was very clear and had nice close-ups of the sprouts and shoots. I was trying to decide if my alfalfa sprouts were ready to leave in the light and your video helped me decide that "yes", it was time to give them a little light. I used 2 tsp of seeds per jar, but I didn't seem to get the density of alfalfa sprouts in your video. I'll have to use more next time.
A teaspoon is 1/3rds of whatever that spoon is lol. (4 teaspoons make 1 spoon)
Very good video! Been a while since I did this. Need a refresher, yours right on, thanks!
I never cover mine and they grow the same. I also don't leave it upside down. I drain the water which it's not supposed to be very dry. I turn it right side up and I make sure the seeds cover the walls of the jar. It's easy. I don't mind the seeds, the get stuck to the walls of the jar. I like when they get tangled into the jar.
After they are ready to eat – how do you store them and for how long?
Perfect, simple video!!! I am going to start my seeds tonight! Thank you for not over engineering it Tikki!
Thank you so much for this great informative video.
Thank you so much! Happy new year!
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for your informative video & not over stretching the instructions. I just rinsed my sprout seeds & will follow your advise. I liked the close ups & well done video.
What? We can't buy those lids in a store?
please dont use tap water to do your sprouting, try to look into getting a distiller, for clean fresh water. great video none the less. thank you
Question: when rinsing, does that go for all seeds or just with alfalfa?
Fantastic video.
Do I put in the refrigerator
Do you rinse with tap water if your city fluoridates the water?
Thank you for post this, it helped me a lot.
