  1. I've been following you. and I have to say I want to be you. LOL. Im from Sudbury Ontario. I have been gardening for a while. We have a short growing season. I purchased a little indoor greenhouse and have had great success so far.YOU are an inspiration and I love following u. Love your enthusiasm

  2. When i was a teenager in the 70's jean jackets were in style but were more then we could afford, my mom took several old pairs of jeans and made a home made jacket that closely mimicked the real thing but still i was embarrassed it wasn't the real thing and didn't wear it for a while. When fall started getting colder i wore it to school for the first time and everyone loved it and i received so many compliments. For the first time in a long time i felt like i fit in so as the old saying goes he gave me what i needed and not what i wanted.

  3. I took a class years ago for newly diagnosed diabetics. They told us to always check our shoes before sticking our feet in them. (We need to be careful of our feet). 16 years later, it’s habit to shake out my shoes before I put them on, EVERY time.

  4. Sometimes, as when you talk about the importance of the tree of life to you, you seem a bit pagan like me. Other times you seem quite Christian. On rare occasion, you seem a bit fundamentalist. That's all. I still love you, and your videos are really important to me but there are certain ones that I skip because as a professed Catholic/Wiccan/Buddhist they make me a bit uncomfortable. You don't though, in general.

  5. 10,000 hours;) I love the history of textiles and the lead in from that to the history of fashion. I recommend the book Textiles, by Kadolph (and tons of other, but Textiles is a good gateway drug;)

  6. Dandelion greens are one of my favorite bitter greens. They are a gift from the world to us. They make every salad better, and a lot of fermented foods are better for the addition of dandelion greens. I so wish I had a yard now. You can't buy them. If they didn't self seed so enthusiastically, they'd be a goto green. Sadly though, if you grow them as a green, if you just look away for a minute their seeds go flying all over for acres and acres (which I consider a plus, but many don't).

  7. What's your fave thing food wise to do with radishes? Do you use the greens too? They have a quite similar taste with a bit less of the bite.

  8. Do you grow Aloe Vera? It's pretty easy as long as you make sure there's an overhang that keeps them from getting rained out, (you can also plant them in WELL drained soil with a lot of sand in it, but with all your clay that would be really hard to arrange.) They are evolved to horde moisture so with too much of it they tend to rot.

  9. Hi there, I randomly bumped into your channel. Wow what a treasure. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Just curious, where is your location?

  10. WHEN YOU SAY LEAVE 12" ALL AROUND FOR THE TRANSPLANTED LETTUCE, DO YOU MEAN TO LEAVE 12" ON ALL SIDES OF THE PLANT OR LEAVE A 12" CIRCLE FOR THE PLANT, IN THE MIDDLE OF WHICH IS THE LETTUCE PLANT, WITH 6" RADIUS CLEAR ON ALL SIDES OF THE PLANT? IM UNCLEAR IF YOU MEAN A 12" OR 24" DIAMETER CIRCLE

  11. Your videos are always very interesting! I'm new to central Arkansas (moved here from LA, i.e. lower Arkansas) and want to know where/what/when is the shindig? Thanks
