  1. Watergate Salad is one of our favorite holiday sidedishes. It is easy to make and doesn't cost much. We also make a similar dish called Cherry Fluff, which is yummy as well.

  2. My sister has this recipe, called Hank's Salad, from the cook in her college dorm from 1965. Hank put hers in a square pan then sort of cut it in squares to serve topped with the nuts. It is good any time. I suppose it could be made with other instant puddings like vanilla, coconut with added coconut or banana with sliced bananas. Now I need to try one of those.

  3. My family loves this. We call it simply, "Green Fluff"! Not a fan of nuts in salads/desserts like this, so I leave the nuts to the side for those who like to top individual servings! I always add Lots of halved seedless red grapes and sometimes sliced bananas. So, so good!

  4. This is about the only thing i really like that my Mom makes. Lol Seriously, this is at every holiday, and my birthday, and I usually just eat the whole thing. My kids think this is nasty. And I don't like nuts in it. Only thing is you forgot the maraschino cherries!

  5. Oh how I loved all the family reunions, many years ago, when my grandmother and all of her sisters (7) would make their delicious fruit salads, sides and desserts. They're all gone now as I'm 71, however, my recipe boxes and cookbooks are filled with many of those great recipes. Thanks for reminding me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all hands and paws and hooves and claws. x, Elizabeth
