In this video, I take you on a farm stay tour at Hosanna Farmstay where we explore the ideas of trying homesteading before you buy or simply visiting a farm to spend time in the country with animals to unwind from the stressful city lifestyle. https://www.hosannafarmstay.com.au/

Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

G'day Everyone, by CRIKEY we had a lot of fun at Hosanna Farm Stay (talking about acreage envy lol…) https://www.hosannafarmstay.com.au/ I have uploaded one extra clip on my second channel already you can see it here https://youtu.be/Nml_a0fofBY it's about pigs. I will upload all of the extra footage from our stay at Hosanna over the next several days to Self Sufficient Me 2. Thanks for your support! Cheers 🙂
those look so beautiful the place looks like paradise. is hosanna in Australia?
What a beautiful weekend! Thanks for sharing.
Hey man random question can you grow rhubarb with tomatoes ?
How fun!!
Looks amazing Mark. ❤️❤️❤️
I grew up on a farm, getting up early to milk cows, clean the pig pen, round up the chickens, pluck veggies from the garden, and do it all over again 7 days a week. Always took time out for Sunday church, then back to farm!
I still garden to this day, but can't have any farm animals where we live.
Great fun!
What a beautiful place ….looked like so much fun . Enjoyed it very much , Mark .
His face when he realised he messed up but saying you get to sleep with the animals hahaha
By jingos by crykee they were right. What a line.Got to use it more.
Australia is a fun country. I was thinking of going on Vacation there one day.
Awe, sounds so lovely. We're still locked down here in Ontario, can't believe we reacted as bad as America. Want to move to Australia now lol, you lucky bastards can grow year round and aren't still dealing with your government's incompetent handling of a major health crisis xD
This is amazing.
Does hosanna farm stay grow fruits and vegetables on their property?
Looks more like a vacation than an actual farm stay.
Your videos, the whole channel is really inspiring me. Sober now for 3 years and my grandparents old place was passed down to my mother and being passed to me. Very excited to start homesteading there it’s a little less than an acre and I can get chickens. Wanted to know if you or anyone here has any chicken breeds to suggest. I’m zone 9B, I just don’t want any of the chickens to get too hot. Look forward to hearing any suggestions. Cheers!
SERIOUSLY Mark this is my back yard. welcome!!
So happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves we love it down here, and feel really lucky.
But I tell you it was watching you that helped with our final choice to live here and make our tree change.
Just stoked, we feel like we live in heaven.
You rock!!!!!
How do you know when a self sustaining farmer knows what he’s doing??
So many people get into homesteading, not realizing how hard it truly is, and how much work is involved. I wish they had these farmstays available everywhere, for various climates, because each climate has its own risks and rewards, but so people can do the work while there…to understand what's really involved. This looks more like a vacation.
Yes really enjoying n inspiring such farmstay
Well it is great advertising for them because it’s beautiful.
Wow this place looks amazing I’ll have to look into staying there once we can go over the boarder. Do you know if there’s anything like this in QLD?
I would love to visit Australia…but right now they're making internment camps for unvaccinated, pepper spraying 12 year olds for not wearing a mask outside, putting people on house arrest for getting out of the house in the middle of nowhere for fresh air….etc….so uh….maybe next year….
