  1. Freeze drying coffee seems like kind of a waste. You can make fresh coffee with just coffee beans and hot water anyway. The cream would probably be better if you reconstituted it with water before putting it in your coffee.

  2. What a fun video!!! Love all your upbeat videos so much. I know I am heading for a freeze dryer now. Lol
My kids bought me an Aeropress one cup coffee maker for Christmas. Check it out when you only want to make one cup of amazing coffee anytime!!
Thanks Becky for being bold and brave and realizing how valuable you are to the rest of us by sharing all you do. It’s such a great adventure to be on with you!! Happy new year. Glad you are well again.

  3. Living Traditions Homestead freeze dried cheese curds and said they were fantastic, they sure sound good! Little late for your pantry challenge but for snacks later, you could give it a try. Love all your experiments with your freeze drier and I'm so looking forward to seeing what you do with it when gardening season rolls around!

  4. Popcorn makes an excellent corn meal. Just grind it fine with your grinder provided it gets big enough for the corn and check to see that it can handle grinding it. Not all grinders can, and you don’t want to break it.

  5. This year I have my very own first garden! I’m watching all of your youtube videos for inspiration. So exited to start a fruit and vegetable garden. We already have a hazelnut bush, a sour cherry tree, currants, gooseberries and blackberries that came with the garden from the previous owner. Counting down the days ‘till growing season and looking forward to new spring content in a few months. 🙂

  6. I haven't been watching your channel for very long but I am really enjoying it! I live in Tuscaloosa Alabama and I'm a Southern Cook! You have taught me so much about gardening and preserving food. I get so tired when I watch your channel and all you accomplish, but I am quite a bit older than you. But you really can teach an old dog new tricks! Love your channel!

  7. I loved your freeze dried coffee challenge! You should try it again with homemade cold brew. It would cut down bitterness because you’re not heat extracting twice.

  8. You make me want a freeze dryer but I am single and totally don't have enough to make to justify the cost. Maybe one day I will find someone local that has one and I can pop some stuff over to them to dry for me for a fee.
