I grow more carnivorous plants than garden plants. Sundews are not picky they will attract beneficial insects too. Also it is not a good idea to keep then next to the garden soil. Garden soil is bad for carnivorous plants
i threw a bunch of carnivorous plants outside in some of my pots. my sundew isnt doing the greatest but it isnt dead, and i think my pitcher is just waiting out the high heat for now because it was doing well for a long time before the heatwave
it technically does kill pest insects….for the most part….aphids can still attack it…but you should never buy this to control insects….carnivorous plants are always in water…so ironically they breed more mosquitos than killing them.
Too bad there isn't something like that for voles. Any tips on ridding your garden of voles? They ate all my carrots and now working on my parsley roots which are food for my swallowtail caterpillars.
Absolutely love my Sundew. I've got one in my room with my other plants over winter and the amount of gnats it's caught is insane! Definitely going to be grabbing a few more if I can find them again.

Here's a question, why wouldn't beneficial insects also be caught?
Damsel flies aren't pests though. Does it work on squash bugs?

Is this the river of sundew from Isabella's song in Encanto?
