  1. The meal was beautiful. The layout on a buffet style was great and the bread looked great. Lots of peeled garlic for you and that chicken smells great all the way from Memphis, Tn. Such a wonderful time to spend with people who share love.

  2. Thanks for sharing that video with us. Great idea garlic party. I agree your salad would have been great with feta cheese I thought since you like pears so much that would have been good too. Everything looked delicious.

  3. Normally, when I bake with spelt or emmer. I make it a 50/50 or 30/70 ratio of speciel flour to regular all purpose flour. And then it normally needs a bit more fluid to help it rise better.

  4. On some places that don't get freezes in winter will need to cold stratify garlic to get it to bulb properly.
It can be hit and miss for me if my winters get cold enough in the ground.

Your family are wonderful to jump in and help peel garlic with you!

  5. Spelt (Dinkel) is a totally normal flour here in Germany and I use it just like wheat flour. Also Dinkel and Roggen (rye) bread is available everywhere, often it's a mix with wheat but also not.

  6. I don't have a cast iron as a university student, but I bake all my sourdough breads in a glass casserole dish with a make-shift foil lid and haven't had any issues… unconventional but it works great for now

  7. Are you going to film a video on how you preserve all that peeled garlic? Or are you just going to freeze dry it all or something? I know you already have videos on how to preserve garlic, but I was just wondering. I'd still watch if you made another video dedicated to how to preserve and process peeled garlic.
