Becky, yes, prices have gone up dramatically! Also, please don't leave your purse in your shopping cart as you unload it to your vehicle. That should be the first thing you take out of your cart – either temporarily placing it where your groceries will go, or put it in the front seat or back seat for safety.
Those OXO containers are amazing. I’ve had mine for 10 years. They have held up. I bought them over time at TJMaxx and Homegoods. They are pricey but they’ll last forever.
I freeze those Costco croissants all the time and it’s totally fine when it thaws. Before making your sandwich, try adding a little butter to a pan and put the halves of the croissant inside (white) side down and fry to create a nice brown crust. Then put the chicken salad to make your sandwich, it’s such a nice flavor and crunch!
I'm going to Costco tomorrow. I hope they have those shoes in my area. 🙂
Yep…I am enjoying all the things. You are in the middle of Costco, talking to us like we were shopping with you, and I am talking back to you and….my husband speaks. Haha, I was really into the shopping and hearing about all we are going to cook and organize. So happy for you both.
Becky, just a word of advice. I noticed that when you left the grocery store and were loading your purchases in the trunk of your car, you left your purse in the child seat of the grocery basket and turned your back on the basket several times. You were focuing on making the video, and anyone could have just run by and stolen your purse. I know it didn't happen; and so this time what you did turned out to be okay. And if you keep following this habit, maybe most times it will turn out okay. But I think with what is coming soon, no area or region will be safe. There are always criminals looking to purse snatch, and I just advise that when you leave the grocery and go to your car to load your groceries, you FIRST unlock your driver-side door and place your purse inside and relock the car before taking your keys with you in your hand and opening your hatch-back to put your groceries in the back. Just get into this habit and you will ensure your safety from those who would rob you in the parking lot.
I haven't been following you very long but I'm loving your videos. Your so detailed and sweet. Keep them coming. God bless you and your new home.
Yes to the reusable produce bags! We just store ours with our reusable shopping bags so it’s easy to remember. We also bring clean jars and containers for the bulk section.
I sometimes freeze the croissants and then just microwave them for like 10-15 seconds and put Nutella on them. Also you should try croissants french toast. Delicious!!
About the cups: I have double walled Steel cups that I bought at Dollar General for $8. They are guaranteed to keep hot drinks hot for 6 hours and cold drinks cold for 12. I put ice in them and I still have ice in the morning when I wake up! And they're only $8!
I live in Australia and we have had torrential downpour over the last 4 months and it has affected our produce prices. A single cucumber is $4, a head of iceberg lettuce is $12 and bell peppers are almost $3 each. I have always wanted to garden but we do not have the space hopefully it gets better
Definitely use recyclable bags rather than those plastic ones -just get into the habit of including smaller bags inside your larger shopping bags.

Great shopping trips, yes, prices are going up!!! Word of caution! When you are unloading the shopping cart, put your purse in the car. When you leave in the cart it's an easy target for someone to grab!!!!!!
You can use the croissant to make French toast.
Those dill pickles are the bomb! So good and crunchy! I can my own but still buy those from time to time.
i have one of those oxo containers and honestly don't feel like it's worth it. they don't seem very vacuum-y and i've seen friends' with them get the plastic looking in pretty rough shape if they fall by accident, etc.
I love the oxo containers. By far my favourite
We reuse the produce bags by putting them back in the grocery bags as we empty them (unless they are icky).
Tramontina is a very good kitchenware brand from Brazil. I never regretted buying stuff from the brand.
