VIDEO: Starting slowly but getting there

2014 was difficult for our gardening efforts though we did learn some things. The last few months have been filled mostly with reorganizing our home. We have a few seeds started and a few other projects. A direction change for the channel is being considered and will be announced in a future video once decided on.

  1. I haven't tried growing ginger, maybe someday. Can hardly wait to get my seeds started but have to wait. Tomato house/greenhouse is a great idea. Love the keg stove/rocket stove, lol

  2. Nice to see you got your starts going. I have the same thing on my ginger. I am amazed that they do not do something with the dear skins.
The Rocket stove I made the burn camber inlet and outlet the same size the riser will pull more air too it needs to get hot to work right. I think more air would help can you put an air pipe in the back and use the the original hole to feed wood. I need to get on with my oven. My tomato house worked last year first time I got tomatoes here last year. well worth the effort I tried for 5 years and blighted every time.

  3. Busy as a bee eh? As if carpentry skills, gardening, schnapps making, and now TANNING BUCKSKINS?(bows to ya my buddy)Some nice looking ginger ya got there, hard to believe ya had 7 and they died out, but these 4 are doin' good. Rocket stove, cool idea there, gotta get me one, then again there might be an upload here on how to make your own and near the end, was this that property that was run down, overgrown with weeds and looking desolate, wow, by the green lawn and the immaculate look and feel to the place you have been as busy as a bee! Thumbs up my buddy, hope your family and you had a great New Year's, lets see how 2015 turns out.

  4. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions for your "sick" ginger plant. The root pieces I planted 3 weeks ago are still not growing, I guess they will need some more time. Liebe Grüße! 🙂

  5. Have had our ginger brown off at the edge at times Jay but they normally bounce back fine.. How are the plants going now ?
Hope the tanning comes out well for you.. we used to send all the hides off to be processed at a local tannery when I was growing up..
Cheers mate & hope all's well with the family..
