Putting together a fire kit for my daughter. She has been interested in bushcraft/campcraft for a while. Getting ready to embark on this adventure. It’s possible we may start a new channel showing her progression.
Plans for today got shifted to tomorrow. Taking some time to clear and organize. A few items I could use advice and opinions.

Thoughts on thankfulness and gratitude. In a nutshell, if people do not return to a life of thankfulness and gratitude then even if all of the perceived problem makers were to be removed then absolutely NOTHING will change.

A fungus killed a tree and needs to be removed. Clearing for new beds.
Transplanting ginger to bring inside for winter.
I haven’t been doing much on gardening lately but it isn’t for lack of gardening stuff to do. Needed to get the home in order, Little maintenance and moving around. Cluttered home, cluttered mind. I can’t work in an unorganized area..
Starting the day and so many things I’m backed up on has overloaded my mind. Taking a few minutes watching the sunrise helped quiet my mind and organize. Thought I would share it with you.

A little update on the property. Weather has been unusually good. Threw me off actually as I had planned on rebuilding several things in the house during the time that we normally have heavy snows. So…. instead, the last few months have been filled with reorganization on a daily basis.
Testing the three elements I plan to use for the potting mix for the biochar trials. Peat, compost/potting soil and worm castings mixed with biochar. I am also testing the worm castings without biochar as well.
The Yacon is beginning to show itself. Trying to root some wild rose cuttings for rose hips and discussing my view of contentment as part of the self sufficient mentality.
Update on my experimental worm farm and a mention of the Bio-char trials being conducted by OneYardRevolution. The worms appear quite happy but I am concerned that it may be to wet. The worms have increased more than six fold since the beginning. As it is my first time attempting this I am not sure…
