We love you JESS
Okra is one of the veggies that made its way from Africa, brought by the African men and women during the middle passage. The French word for okra is "gombo," which is so close to gumbi, a southern dish with okra as a main ingredient. It will be very interesting to see your South Carolina garden – I see rice in the future.
Jess, thank you so much for what I have learned about gardening, faith, and family! Your videoed have brought me joy and inspiration! You have been a blessing to many and I know God in turn will abundantly bless you and your family and the journey you are embarking on! Can’t wait to follow your journey in South Carolina ♥️!

gaw. I am just a ball of tears. leaving your gardens and home is so hard. We will have to do this at some point next year
I’m sure it’s hard to leave this garden that has been a part of you and your family for years. On the other hand, it must be exciting to start a new one as well. Looking forward to following you again on the new property. Wishing you all the best!
Zone 8a/b here near Augusta, lots of people grow bananas. They often don’t do well if it freezes hard but usually they do well.
What a sweet video!!!
You are the sweetest*
Do you have a video of how to take cuttings and how to get them to grow? I love Maya, a high school sweetheart vs person spend the rest of my life with, LOVE it!!!
❤️
I found your channel only a week ago, and I have been binging your journey in every spare minute I have. I've been planning out my own garden and considering homesteading for awhile, but you have given me such a push to get out there and learn NOW. I'm turning my little suburban backyard into what I hope to be a small-scale version of your peaceful garden. I'm absorbing all your tips and information like a SPONGE! So excited to be able to watch this next journey for you unfold in real time. You're an inspiration. 🙂
